Technical Surveillance Operatives Course (5days)

Due to the increasing capabilities of surveillance, the use of technical surveillance has increased dramatically. The technology utilized by government, military and commercial agencies continues to develop and grow and the level of equipment available requires an understanding in order to gain the most effectiveness from such devices. The technical aspects of audio, visual and tracking devices enables us to operate nearly without limits and exceed the boundaries normally associated with surveillance.

Prerequisites For Attendance

In order to take this technical surveillance course, you are required to have completed and passed the following courses or prove experience. The routes you have available are as follows:

1. Completed and passed a level 3 surveillance course. (click here to learn more)

or

2. Prove 5 years experience within a surveillance working environment.

This developed course has UK certification with the Open College Network and Skills for Security; it provides delegates with a technical knowledge of various systems.

Technical Surveillance Operatives Course (TSOC) Course Structure:

This Surveillance training course was designed by CTR Services to cater for the demand of the professional operative or investigator. The 5 day course is broken down into 4 modules which are:

• Introduction to Technical Surveillance

• Principles of Audio Surveillance

• Principles of Video Surveillance

• Principles of TSCM

To make the learning progressive, we have split the modular competencies into manageable segments which blend into the overall surveillance package to ensure the training pace stays the same.

• UHF/VHF listening devices

• Propagation paths

• Infinity devices

• Hardwired systems

• Operational requirement & placement

Video Surveillance

• Camera systems

• Lens types & calculations

• Recording systems

• Measurement of LUX & low light conditions

• Transmission methods & Hard wired systems

• Operational requirement & placement

We are accredited by the Open College Network and Skills for Security, we are also accredited by Bucks New University and preferred suppliers to the MOD with the Career Transition Partnership
