Self Defence for Surveillance Operators Course (1day)
Surveillance is a clandestine service, which places you in certain situations that are of a covert role - If you are compromised then your personal defence needs to be effective
This course has been designed to further delegates in surveillance within a static and mobile surveillance environment and especially working under a covert role. Most surveillance roles always have the element of physical interaction with third party or even the target (depending on the role you have) this interaction can be potentially hostile from a soft compromise in a farmers field that wants answers to sitting in a vehicle and people approaching you for the wrong reasons. Obviously you shouldn't be in such positions, however things happen and the need to look after yourself is paramount. CTR Services & H2H Defence Ltd has designed this program that looks at the scenarios you may find yourself within and more importantly how to defend yourself if you are.
Prerequisites For Attendance
In order to take this Self Defence Surveillance course, you are required to have completed and passed the following courses or prove experience. The routes you have available are as follows:
1. Completed and passed a level 3 surveillance course. (click here to learn more)
or
2. Prove 1 year experience within a surveillance working environment.
Self Defence Surveillance Course (SOSD) Structure:
This Surveillance Self Defence training course was designed by CTR Services & H2H Defence Ltd to cater for the demand for personal security needs of the professional operative or investigator. The 1 day course is broken down into 2 modules which start with:
Defend - This 1/2 day Module covers the following subjects:
• Basic Combat Arts
• Anatomy of Defence
• Most Common Attacks
• Advanced Conflict Management
• Breakaway Techniques (minimum force)
• Reasonable Force (Close Quarters)
• Force Continuum (weapons awareness)
Scenario Replication - This 1/2 day Module covers the following subjects:
• OP Scenario - Soft compromise
• Foot Surveillance Scenario - Caught up
• Mobile Surveillance Scenario - Road rage
• Optive Scenarios - From you background and experience
We are accredited by the Open College Network and Skills for Security, we are also accredited by Bucks New University and preferred suppliers to the MOD with the Career Transition Partnership
