Over the past 7 years Tremaine Kent Director of CTR Services Ltd, has been developing intelligent protective services around the globe. It has always been the view of developing a higher educational platform for the protective services sector, but without the backing of the correct academic establishment it would never take off.

It wasn't until the first year of trading in the UK when we had the privilege of meeting Mr Allan Martin, who at that time was working for SITO developing the National Occupational Standards for the SIA licensing of the sector. who invited Tremaine to become part of the SIA steering Committee. During these first meetings with Alan the foundation degree proposals were viewed and in turn accepted, he asked Buckinghamshire Chiltern University College (BCUC) to also visit one of the SIA steering committee meetings to see if we could work together.

Over the course of 2 years the university is about to start the first foundation degree program for the protective security sector with Tremaine Kent at the helm as the coordinator. The subjects are covered over two years which focus specifically on protective services:
