Private Investigator Training (PPIC) (E-Learning)
It will soon be a legal requirement to be in possession of a SIA Investigator License to conduct investigation sector work. To meet this need CTR Services has been approved by EDI awarding body who in turn are approved by the SIA to deliver the licensed qualification. Unlike many other providers that provide investigations training, CTR has pioneered the first E-Learning course that has full interactive learning and portfolio and knowledge bank development. Whilst you learn from anywhere that has an internet connection, you will learn new skills and download the module manuals for future use and develop those skills through progressive learning and constant feedback assessments.
Prerequisites For Attendance
In order to take the E-Learning course, you are required to have the following experience and hardware:
1. Have a good working knowledge of computers and the internet.
2. If you use other computers, you will require to have a memory stick to place your downloaded information.
This developed course has UK certification with the Open College Network and Skills for Security and EDI.
Private Investigator (PPIC) Course Structure:
This Professional Private Investigators Course was designed by CTR Services to cater for the demand of the professional qualifications within the investigations industry prior to licensing. The qualification is based on the SIA specifications for core competency training for Private Investigators, which covers the necessary understanding and skills required by individuals to operate as Professional Investigators. The E-Learning course is broken down into the following modules which start with:
Unit 1: Preparing to carry out an investigation
1.1 Recognise the objectives of the investigation.
1.2 Know how to establish the feasibility and legality of an investigation, and to identify its
possible consequences.
1.3 Recognise and understand how to deal with actual or potential conflicts of interest.
1.4 Know how to plan to carry out the investigation.
Unit 2: Gather information in support of an investigation
2.1 Know how to research information to support the investigation.
2.2 Understand how to interview people to gather information.
2.3 Know how to carry out surveillance to gather information.
2.4 Understand how to collaborate with others to gather information.
2.5 Maintain the security and confidentiality of information gathered.
Unit 3: Report the findings of an investigation
3.1 Know how to analyse, grade and corroborate information.
3.2 Understand how to report and present the findings of an investigation.
