Firearms Training (Level 3) (5days)
With the ever growing market for firearms training with operatives working armed overseas, the need for recognised academic qualification is paramount. This new firearms training qualification provides the students with recognised qualifications to possibly reinforce their existing military or police firearms experience or bring newcomers to a competent level of safety. This training course has been written into two of our training programs the Close Protection Hostile Environments and the Surveillance Hostile Environments as well as a stand alone package.
CTR Services has joined forces with Edelweiss in order to meet the criteria of professional training and development within firearms safety. Before you are able to apply for this course you are required to fulfil the pre requisite levels of competency
Prerequisites For Attendance
In order to take the Firearms course, you are required to have completed and passed the following courses or prove experience. The routes you have available are as follows:
1. Completed and passed a level 3 surveillance course. (click here to learn more)
or
2. Completed and passed a level 3 Close Protection Course, (click here to learn more)
or
3. Prove 3 years experience within a surveillance working environment.
This developed course has UK certification with the Open College Network and Skills for Security; it provides delegates with an advanced surveillance system.
Firearms (HEFCO) Course Structure:
This Hostile Environments Firearms Course was designed by CTR Services Ltd and Edelweiss to cater for the demand of the professional operative working armed within hostile countries. The 5 day course is broken down into the following modules which start with:

• Ambidextrous Firearms operation
• Night shooting & High stress shooting
• Client Drills
• Extreme close quarter shooting
• Situation assessment & Immediate Action drills
• Self assessment & Team building skills
The weapons used on this course are: Carbines, SIG 553 Special Operations Weapon, M4 / AKM74 / AKSU74, Additional H&KMP5 / REM870, Handguns, Glock 19 / 17 / 17C / 26 / SigP250Dc / H&KP30.
We are accredited by the Open College Network and Skills for Security, we are also accredited by Bucks New University and preferred suppliers to the MOD with the Career Transition Partnership

Qualifications & Work Progression:
As this course is based around developing Safety and Awareness with firearms and also how to use them effectively within armed security work, it has a portfolio that develops students for career progression within professional high risk security and other aspects of the security market.
