Anti-Piracy Operatives Course (APO) (E-Training)

Today there are around fifty thousand merchant ships trading internationally carrying nearly ninety percent of all world trade making them prime targets for piracy and terrorism. Coupled with that is the fact that maritime piracy attacks have vastly increased not only in number but also in sophistication, range and ferocity. The security industry has recently seen a vast increase in the demand for trained maritime security officer’s onboard vessels. Up till now this has meant personnel who have completed a Ship Security Officer course (SSO). The SSO course is aimed at teaching general security procedures on board a ship but does not specifically deal with anti-piracy operations. Our Anti-Piracy Operatives course aims to bridge that gap by coupling relevant general ship security training with specific anti-piracy training via an interactive e-learning platform called Secure Minds.
